Laura
Berry-Berman has served nine years as the Executive Director of the
Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence. She served four years
as the Director of the Madison County Victim Advocacy Program in
Anderson, IN, and one year as an Indiana probation and restitution
officer. She has served on the Mayor of Indianapolis's Commission on
Domestic Violence and the Chemical People Task Force.
Laura is the co-founder of the Indiana
Resource and Training Institute on Violence Against Women. The
Resource Center is a first-of-the-kind institute that provides
technical assistance training, aims to standardized training
throughout the state of Indiana and serves as a lending library of
books, videos and training materials.
She is a certified Law Enforcement
Instructor and has conducted several domestic violence trainings for
the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the Indiana
Association of Chiefs of Police, the Indiana Sheriff’s Association
and the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. She facilitates workshops
for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center/ Violence Against
Women Office National DV Train-the-Trainer Project.
Laura is an Adjunct Professor at Anderson University instructing
Victimology. She graduated from Ball State University with a B.S.
degree in Criminal Justice and M.A. degree in Political Science.
