James
McLaughlin currently serves as a detective with the City of Keene
Police Department in New Hampshire where he specializes in crimes
against children. He has organized an undercover Internet operation
that has resulted in over 235 arrests in 42 states and in fifteen
foreign countries.
James has earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Keene
State College, a Certificate degree in Child Abuse Intervention from
the University of Alabama and a Masters degree in Criminal Justice
from Fitchburg State College.
In 1989, James was appointed by the Governor of New Hampshire to
be a member of the Attorney General’s Task Force on Child Abuse
and continues to be a member of this committee which has sponsored
legislative changes and established state policies in investigation
child abuse cases.
James has participated in more than 1000 investigations involving
sexual assault, exploitation of children, and other sex crimes and
has interviewed more than 2,000 victims of child sexual assault and
exploitation.

child sexual abuse and exploitation, James has written the following
